Suspended windows in winter nights

The Castle lights

From a late-nineteenth century watercolour drawing by an anonymous author entitled "The Castle's one hundred windows", the idea of "Suspended windows" was born: darkness envelops the Castle and its illuminated windows, floating in the void, evoke architectures and lives of the past and present. The complicity of the obscurity of the Bridge accompanies the viewer on this short journey where the sea, the sky and the stars are once again, as ever, the undisturbed frame of the Castle.

The project was executed with the collaboration of the Municipality of Ischia and light designer Davide Scognamiglio.
